Chaturvedi, an 1987-batch IAS officer, today took over as the new chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Sharing the vision and role of CBSE in school education, Chaturvedi emphasised on the need for improving the quality of education in schools across the country with ample thrust on teacher quality to sustain improvement in the standard of education, a statement released here said.
One of the foremost priorities will also be to make CBSE a modern and multi-dimensional front ranking organisation among other issues, the statement added.
