The makers of "Udta Punjab", which deals with the issue of substance abuse in the Northern state, are at loggerheads with the censor board after the latter allegedly demanded 89 cuts in the movie, including removal of the word "Punjab" from the film as well as its title.
"I have not seen the movie. So I will not specifically comment on it and nor on Censor Board's move about it. But I feel that in a democracy, there should be freedom to express one's views and to say one's things," the actor told reporters here when asked about "Udta Punjab" row.
The actor was here to promote his upcoming Punjabi film "Dulla Bhatti".
About his own movie, which is slated for release on June 10, Dhillon said that the sixteenth century, hero symbolised dignity and honour of Punjab.
"Such Punjabi folklore hero and icon like Dulla Bhatti should be in every village and city of Punjab", said Dhillon, who plays the lead role of the icon.
