Hot on form after winning all seven matches of their maiden U-19 I-League campaign, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Navi Mumbai Regional Academy Boys would be pulling no punches when they take on reigning champions Pune FC away in the last tie of the zone tomorrow.
The colts in blue, who rallied to beat Pune FC 2-1 in the first leg at home, will be looking to keeping their all-win record by taming the lions in their own lair. But head coach Sajid Dar admits that it won't be smooth sailing.
"All said and done they have been there and done it all. We have to put our best foot forward against them always not matter what the previous result has been," Dar said.
"We will definitely give the boys who haven't played enough minutes a chance. That is all in the plan. This is a great exposure for our wards and everyone should soak in the atmosphere. This is the best way to learn," he added.
Pune FC are placed second with 11 points from six matches. Asked about the boys' blistering form establishing a 10-point lead at the top, Dar remained grounded.
"Yes they are doing really well. But we have to keep up the momentum in Jamshedpur where we play the Final Round. We have to prove our mettle against the best and I strongly believe this lot has the potential to overcome tall hurdles," Dar said.
