Shot putter Inderjeet Singh is unhappy that government is not listening to his demands and has threatened to pull out of Target Olympic Podium scheme for Rio 2016.
The 27-year-old Asian champion had qualified for his maiden World Athletics Championships final but only to finish last in the field of 11 last month.
Stressing on the importance of training in the US, the 150kg six-feet-four inches tall shot putter said: "The ministry is not allowing my personal coach to travel with me. I also do not have a personal doctoer. I need Rs 30 lakh to train in the US and the ministry is not listening, so what's the use of being in TOP?"
"I am prepared to die for the country doing what I love the most -- competing in athletics. But to make sure I can contest against the best, I need to go to USA and train," the Punjab thrower told reporters ahead of the 55th National Open Athletics Championship beginning here tomorrow.
Inderjeet had made it to the final round of the World meet as one of the 12 best performers in the qualifying session with a best throw of 20.47m.
"If they were to train in conditions such as mine, they would not be able to throw 18-19 metres even," he added.
