India accepts Nepal's proposal for joint promotion of tourist

India today accepted Nepal's proposal for joint promotion of tourists destinations, including Buddhist sites, in third countries.
A business delegation of tourism and travel trade from Nepal had a meeting with Tourism Secretary Parvez Dewan and other senior officials of Tourism Ministry here today and the Ministry agreed to a proposal from the visiting delegation for joint publicity of India and Nepal as tourist destinations in other countries, said an official statement here.
While suggesting joint venture with Nepal in showcasing Himalayan and adventure tourism, the Ministry has agreed to joint offering of tour packages in third countries by tour operators of both the countries.
According to the statement, the Nepalese delegation sought India's cooperation in the development of Hotel infrastructure in Nepal.
They also suggested joint promotion and development of Buddhist sites in both the countries.
