"India is aiming for international synergy in space missions. Collaborating, partnering and international synergy will be a win-win for all space stakeholders to fight huge costs and enormous human and related resources in taking up space missions," he said.
Radhakrishnan said low-cost access to space is the mantra for taking up future missions as most countries are facing resource constraints and other limitations.
"The international synergy will cut cost of access to space resources and exploring inter-planetary solar system," he said on the inaugural day of the 39th Scientific Assembly of the Committee on Space Research (Cospar 2012) being held here.
He said safety and security of space-based assets are vital to improve the quality of life and quench human thirst to unravel the mystery enveloping the universe.
ISRO is also striving for sustaining and enriching its founding fathers' vision, which is people-centric, with emphasis on self-reliance in space technologies.
Those who spoke at the session were Canadian Space Agency Director General D Kendall, Italian Space Agency President E Saggese, German Space Research and Technology Centre executive H Dittus.

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Research Director Masato Nakamura and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Director M S Allen also addressed the gathering.
According to ISRO, COSPAR Scientific Assembly provides the world's largest inter-disciplinary forum for the exchange of recent results in the area of space research.
It is therefore considered as a particularly important meeting for members participating in such scientific activities.
