A visiting delegation of the Border Guard Bangaldesh (BGB) led by its Director General Maj Gen Aziz Ahmed also met Home Minister Rajnath Singh .
The BSF team was led by its DG D K Pathak.
Singh, during the meeting at his North Block office, expressed satisfaction over the current scenario along the Indo-Bangla border as he said the two forces are taking necessary confidence building measures and carrying out joint patrolling along the border.
The BSF DG apprised the Home Minister of issues of common interest to both the countries. Issues like violence on the border, trans-border crime, smuggling of narcotics and fake Indian currency notes were discussed during the meeting.

"The two border forces also discussed action against the Indian insurgent groups and destruction of their hideouts, joint efforts for prevention of illegal migration and human trafficking of Bangladeshi nationals, effective implementation of coordinated border management plan for preventing trans- border crimes," the statement said.
The BSF guards the 4,096 km long Indo-Bangla frontier.
