"This year the IBFW will have industry icon and fashion designer Neeta Lulla opening the week with an experiential show at the Museum of Goa, a tourist spot near here," show's co-founder Pallav Ojha told reporters today.
"Her collection is inspired by Chinese flowers like Cherry Blossom and Osmanthus that represents feminity,sensualityand love and romance," Ojha, who is also chief operating officer of UVAR Global, which is organising the event, said.
Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar will inaugurate the fashion week.
During the three day event, other designers including Mayyur Girotra, Anupama Dayal, Asmita Marwa will be making their presentations, the organisers said.
"We have a mix of fashion shows and knowledge forums like 'Future Fashion Conclave' and networking sessions like 'Sangria by the Sea', to offer a wholesome experience for attendees and participants," Ojha added.
Another co-founder Amyn Manji, who is also Managing Director of UVAR said, "global fashion trends are finding its way into the Indian lifestyle with the new age consumer growing more fashioncognisant".
