It also said that there should be a strategic solution to wipe out the Maoist menace for the economic and social growth of the backward region of the country.
"While the entire country, including the corporate sector, is shocked at the barbaric act by Maoists, the incident should not deter the government's resolve to carry on with development in all backward areas," it said in a statement.
"The nation has to unitedly show a resolve to root out violence from society, or else economic development cannot take place in an atmosphere of fear," it said, adding that industrial confidence must be restored.
"Industrial houses which have their facilities in insurgency affected areas will have to take extra care, while the government, both at the central and state levels, must ensure safety of personnel employed in these regions," the statement said.
It also said that the chamber is concerned about insecurity among people working both in the public and private sector plants in the state and other Maoist-affected states.
