The terror suspect, Saifullah, was killed in Lucknow today after 12 hours of anti-terror operation to capture him alive. He is suspected to be linked with the blast in Bhopal-Ujjain train yesterday, police said.
"We have been dealing with terrorist activities and all our agencies are very alert. We are capable of tackling these," Bhamre, who is the Minister of State for Defence, told PTI here.
On the killing of a suspected ISIS terrorist in Lucknow, Bhamre said terror, including the ISIS, is a global phenomenon and this "menace" is to be tackled unitedly.
"The world is realising this important issue. Tackling terrorism is a global phenomenon and we need to tackle it unitedly," Bhamre said.

Bhamre, who was the chief guest at the International Women's Day celebration by DRDO Women's Forum (DWF) at RCI Auditorium here, said in his speech that women scientists have put their best foot forward in prestigious national scientific projects such as 'Mangalyaan', 'Chandrayaan', Ballistic Missile Defence and Light Combat Aircraft.
Hailing the role of modern women, he said society has reached newer heights of achievement because of them.
He praised Sasikala Sinha, the project director of Endo-atmospheric interceptor missile, for its recent successful test-firing.
Praising the role of women, especially Defence scientists, Bhamre said the country is proud of their achievements and that it looked forward to their immense contribution in future.
