India-Paraguay discuss ties

India and Paraguay today held comprehensive talks on a range of issues covering the entire gamut of bilateral relations including political, trade, tourism and ways to strengthen cooperation in areas such as UN reforms.
The discussions were part of the second round of India- Paraguay foreign office consultations led by Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (AMS, CPV and SA) R Swaminathan and the Latin American country's Deputy Foreign Minister Oscar Cabellow Sarubbi.
"The entire gamut of bilateral relations including political, commercial and trade, financial, tourism, technical and other areas of cooperation were discussed during the meeting to further broaden and strengthen cooperation," an MEA statement said.
The delegations of the two countries also discussed important regional and multilateral issues including India's ongoing engagement with groupings such as Community of Latin American Caribbean States (CELAC), MERCOSUR and UN Reforms, it added.
