A Memorandum of Understanding was today signed in this regard between the Indian Embassy, the District Development Committee of Makwanpur and Shri Mahalaxmi Secondary School at Bhimphedi village.
The project will be managed under the Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme and will help in creating better facilities for over 400 students, the Indian Embassy said in a statement.
The 54-year-old infrastructure of the school was dilapidated and inadequate to meet growing requirements of students and faculty members. The new building will create a better environment for learning, it said.
Construction of a building for Shri Janakalyan Higher Secondary School in Daman village is underway at a cost of Rs 42.21 million.
