India, Portugal hold talks

India and Portugal today explored ways to deepen bilateral ties in a range of areas including trade and investment.
Minister of State for External Affairs M J Akbar and Portugal's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Teresa Ribeiro held extensive talks during which both sides agreed to further expand ties, particularly in the trade sector.
The relations between India and Portugal have seen steady rise over the past few years.
The bilateral trade has been growing steadily. The volume of annual bilateral trade in 2014-15 was USD 692.19 million.
