India were 407 for seven in their first innings in reply to Australia's 572 at lunch on day four of the fourth and final cricket Test at the SCG here today.
R Ashwin (33) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3) were at the crease for the visitors when the break was taken.
India are still trailing by 165 runs.
