Guests from all corners of South Africa and even a few from neighbouring countries gathered at the residence of High Commissioner Virendra Gupta to celebrate the success they have achieved by spending time at various Indian institutions.
"We have invited many people who went to India to participate in training programmes which are offered under our economic and technical cooperation programmes," Gupta said.
"Year after year we are increasing the numbers and we are committed to continuing this very important area of our cooperation.
"We have over a period of time developed a range of professional and technical institutions and ever since we became independent, we have opened these institutions to people from other developing countries.

"Taking that forward, in India we have developed this huge programme under which several thousand government officials from a variety of disciplines go to India," Gupta said.
"We want you to be honest - you have seen all there is in India, the good and the bad. We want you to tell people to see what the opportunities for cooperation are," Gupta told the participants.
