Singapore has replaced Mauritius as the top source of foreign direct investment into India, accounting for about 25 per cent of FDI inflows in 2013-14.
However, the bilateral trade between the countries declined to USD 19.37 billion in 2013-14 from USD 21.10 billion in the previous fiscal.
Singapore is the country's largest trade and investment partner in the ASEAN region.
Both the countries have implemented a comprehensive free trade agreement since 2005.
