"...Network infrastructure build-out in markets like India and Thailand, and growing share in the Japanese tablet market, Huawei maintained its growth momentum in the Asia Pacific Region and achieved CNY 67,500 million in revenue, up 36.6 per cent year-on-year," Huawei said in its global report on Friday.
The privately-owned firm posted 32 per cent overall growth in its revenue at CNY 521,574 million in 2016 compared to CNY 395,009 million in 2015.
"The Indian telecom market is evolving and a lot of infrastructure is getting upgraded. This on-going modernisation and upgradation of telecom networks in India as well as opportunities in managed services has enabled growth in India market. This India growth story has also fuelled the growth of Huawei in Asia Pacific," Huawei India CEO Jay Chen said.
