India to chair Renewable Energy Agency Council meet in June

India will chair the meeting of International Renewable Energy Agency Council, which is scheduled to be held in June in Abu Dhabi.
"India has been designated as Chair to the Ninth Meeting of International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Council which is scheduled to be held for 10th and 11th June, 2015 in Abu Dhabi," an official release said.
India is a founder member of the IRENA, an inter- governmental organisation that supports nations in their transition to a sustainable energy future, among others.

Indiabulls Ventures allots 1 cr shares on warrant conversion * Indiabulls Ventures today said it has alloted over one crore shares upon conversion of warrants and the paid up equity capital of the company now stands at Rs 58.43 crore.
The company has issued and allotted 1.08 crore equity shares of face value Rs 2 each, upon conversion of equivalent number of warrants, it said in a filing to BSE.

"Consequent to the said allotment, the paid-up equity share capital of the company stands increased to over Rs 58.43 divided into over 29.21 equity shares of face value Rs 2 each," it said,

Star Ferro and Cement demerger of business effective * Star Ferro and Cement today said the its demerger plan, approved by Meghalaya High Court has become effective from April 1, 2014.
"The company now has received on April 9, 2015, the certified copy of the order dated March 31, 2015, passed by the High Court of Meghalaya at Shillong, sanctioning the Scheme of Arrangement between Star Ferro and Cement Limited, Shyam Century Ferrous Limited (SCFL) and their respective shareholders," the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Accordingly, the Scheme of Arrangement is effective with effect from April 1, 2014, it said.
In August last year, the company's board approved a demerger scheme under which a new company- Shyam Century Ferrous Limited- was formed to separate the company's ferro alloy division as part of an overall business reorganisation plan.
