India to face Taipei in FIBA Women Asia Championship

India eves will take on Chinese Taipei in their opening match of the 25th FIBA Asia Championship for Women at Bangkok, Thailand tomorrow.
The Indian contingent was part of the training-cum-preparation camp in Dongguan, China from October 15-25, where they won all of their four practice matches against Chinese club teams.
The championship will be played from October 27 to November 3, with 12 teams divided into two groups (Level I and Level II).
India has been placed in Level I group, based on their finish in the 24th edition of the Championship, and has China, Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei as their opponents.
India will play Korea on October 28, followed by defending champion China (Oct 29), Japan (Oct 30) and Kazakhstan (Oct 31).
Head coach Francisco Garcia along with coach Abdul Hameed Khan will be leading the Indian contingent.
