AIBA President Ching-Kuo Wu also applauded the recently-formed Boxing Federation of India (BFI) for the successful conduct of the senior women and men's National Championships.
BFI hosted the women's nationals in Haridwar last month and men's Nationals concluded in Guwahati on December 13.
"I am very glad to learn that you have successfully held Women's National Boxing Championships and are organising a men's event. These events are in the best interests of boxers and the promotion of boxing," Dr Wu wrote in his letter to BFI President Ajay Singh.
In another letter, Wu also formally announced that India will be hosting the 2017 AIBA Commissions Meeting in Agra next year.

Overwhelmed by AIBA's appreciation, Singh said, "India will host AIBA's 71st Commissions Meetings for the first time. We are delighted that AIBA recognises the importance of India on the world boxing stage.
"This is a significant step in our effort to become a leading nation in the world in boxing. We look forward to working closely with AIBA to develop the sport in India."
The meeting will also feature from officials from AIBA Pro-Boxing, and World Series Boxing in a two-day gathering in Agra.
