The championship will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The tournament will witness more than 400 national and international athletes from all over the world. This time around India will also witness women body builders and physique athletes for the very first time.
IBBF was formed to popularise the sport of body building in India. The IBBF also has the distinction of being the only federation for body building in India which is also recognised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).
Madhukar Talwalkar, Organising Committee chairman said, "It has always been my dream to create a platform for bodybuilders and this particular competition will enhance the importance of this fitness sport. We will have participants from every corner of the world making it a very remarkable event which will motivate this fitness sport in our country.
