"We are looking at promoting film-making in Vietnam. That is our plan, and modalities in this regard will be chalked out soon," Secretary (East) in the Ministry of Home Affairs Anil Wadhwa told reporters here.
He said film-makers can tap the scenic and unexplored beauty of the locales of the country, which has a huge coastline running across its length in the South China Sea.
Wadhwa was briefing journalists about the developments taking place during the third day of the four-day state visit of President Pranab Mukherjee to the country.
"In order to promote tourism in Vietnam we are planning to bring some film shooting here. To promote tourism it is the best thing to show the best places in a movie. A Hindi movie can always be shot here," he said.
