India to promote its tourist destinations in Berlin

To promote Indian destinations abroad, a delegation led by Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi will have extensive meetings with tour and travel operators in Berlin during an international tourism fair.
The Tourism Minister today left for Berlin to attend the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) where he will have extensive meetings with tour and travel operators, travel writers and other stakeholders, a Tourism Ministry official said.
The ITB is one of the premier international travel related events which provides a platform for networking and meetings with executives and leaders from all segments of the tourism industry world-wide.
The theme of the India Pavilion set up at an area of 870 sq metres at the ITB-2013 is "Find what you seek", representing India as a tourist destination that has something to offer for everybody.
A total of 58 participants including 12 states are participating as co-exhibitors in the India Pavilion, the official said.
Tourism Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and West Bengal will also be visiting the ITB Berlin 2013.
Two Yoga experts from AYUSH and three artisans from Development of Handicrafts Commissionaire will also participate in the fair to make India's mark in wellness tourism and to showcase the rich handicrafts of the country through demonstrations at the India Pavilion.
