"The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today gave its approval for signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and the Republic of China on cooperation in the field of mining and mineral sector," an official statement said.
The MoU will provide an institutional mechanism between both the countries on cooperation in the field of mining and mineral sector.
"The MoU will help in exchange of information on resources, laws and policy; organisation of seminars to exchange views on development strategies; encouragement of transfer of technologies and promotion of value addition," it said.
