"#DavisCup World Group play-off draw: Canada v India in Canada," Davis Cup posted on its official Twitter page.
India have qualified for the playoff after beating Uzbekistan 4-1 in a home tie last week.
The triumph was India's first under non-playing captain Mahesh Bhupathi.
The victory also came without the services of veteran Leander Paes, dropped from the team for the first time despite being available, since his Davis Cup debut against Japan in 1990.
Canada, on the other hand, had lost to Great Britain 2-3 in the World Group first Round in February.
