A 24-year-old Indian national suspected of killing his wife inside a Dunkin' Donuts earlier this month has been declared "wanted" by the FBI here which is offering a USD 20,000 reward for information leading up to his capture.
Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel is said to have been last seen in the New York area after allegedly having fled from Newark in the neighbouring New Jersey state.
The US Attorney's Office in Maryland has issued a federal warrant against Patel in the murder of his 21-year old wife Palak Bhadreskumar Patel.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to USD 20,000 for information leading to Patel's arrest. Detectives say the Patel couple worked at a Dunkin Donuts restaurant in Maryland.
They believe Patel killed his wife in a back room just before midnight on April 12.
Patel, born in India, was in the United States legally but his visa had expired in March this year.

The FBI's "Wanted" poster has three photographs of Patel with details about his age, place of birth, employment and physical features.
It says Patel is wanted for "unlawful flight to avoid prosecution" and has been charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault, and dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
Cautioning that Patel "should be considered armed and dangerous", the FBI poster further says that allegedly struck his wife multiple times with an object inside the restaurant and then fled the scene.
A local arrest warrant was issued in the District Court of Maryland for Anne Arundel County on April 13 and a federal arrest warrant was issued in the US District Court, District of Maryland, on April 20 after Patel was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Justin Mulcahy of the Anne Arundel County police had said that the authorities were treating the case as "domestic-related."
The call to police came in around 11 pm on Sunday when a customer noticed no employees at the Dunkin Donuts outlet.
