An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter made an unscheduled landing today due to bad weather near Mehsana, around 75 kms from here, an IAF official said.
"An MI-17 helicopter, which was headed to Ahmedabad from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, had to make an unscheduled landing near Mehsana because of bad weather conditions," IAF spokesperson M G Mehta told PTI today.
After weather conditions became conducive, the helicopter, which carried three army personnel, reached Ahmedabad as per schedule, he said.
Yesterday, a privately-owned helicopter, carrying three passengers including Narayan Sai, son of controversial godman Asaram Bapu, had crashlanded in a cemetery in Gomtipur area of the city here.
However, there were no casualties and everybody, including the chopper pilot, escaped unhurt.
