Indian author wins American Literary Forum Society award

Nikhil Chandwani, a 20-year-old noted Indian author and documentary filmmaker, has become the first Asian to win the prestigious author of the year award from the American Literary Forum Society for his novel.
Chandwani bagged the Conspiracy Novel of the Year Award for his book 'Coded Conspiracy.'
Chandwani has previously won United Kingdom Writers' Forum Award for excellence in poetry.
The American Literary Forum Society announced its annual awards last month. The award carried a trophy, cash prize and citation from the forum.
Chandwani, who is in talks with a Hollywood producer for the digital version of the novel, has also won a national award from the Indian government for excellence in literature.
A New York Forum Youth Director award-winning Director, Chandwani has written three crime thrillers and two books on poetry so far.

Chandwani is currently working in Hollywood and had made documentaries in West Africa, Kenya and the Amazon that have received critical appreciation.
"Kenya Escape Therapy," a documentary by Chandwani, won over 30 international awards.
He is currently writing a Hollywood movie 'Spider in the Window' and is producing an Indian movie tentatively titled 'Noor.
