Indian challenge ends in Women's World 9-ball C'ship

The Indian challenge in the Women's World 9-ball Championship came to an end on the conclusion of the opening day after the two participating national players suffered respective losses to crash out of the four-day event, here.
Among 64 players competing in the event, all eyes are on the top 24 women and hall of famers such as Janette Lee (The black widow), Karren Corr and Alison Fisher.
From India, Chennai cueist Neena Praveen lost her first match to Joanne Ashton of Canada 0-7.
Neena then lost to Korean World No.12 Yu Ram Cha 1-7 to bow out of the tournament.
Bengal's Suniti Damani put up little resistance against third-seeded Philippines player Rubilin Amit as she went down 2-7 and also lost to Line Kjorsvik of Norway 1-7.
