The members of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce expressed their interest in attracting Indian investments, particularly in the fields of information technology, recycling of waste material, green houses project and ship-building.
Ambassador Suri discussed with Suez Governor Major General Al Arabi al-Sarawy as well as the Chairman of Suez Chamber of Commerce the opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between India and Egypt.
Representatives from the Indian companies, who have already invested in Suez, were also present during the meeting.
Suri invited the Egyptian entities to participate in the forthcoming international trade conferences and the Indo-Arab Partnership Summit in India to attract Indian investments.

The meeting, which was held at the Chamber of Commerce and attended by about 60 Egyptian businessmen, came during "India Days" celebrations in the Suez Governorate on November 16 and 17.
The celebrations were organised by the Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC), Embassy of India in cooperation with the Suez Governorate, Cultural Palace of Suez Governorate, Suez Chamber of Commerce and University of Suez.
As part of the celebrations, the Indian Cultural Centre organised an exhibition of Indian handicrafts and musical instruments at the cultural palace.
This was followed by distribution of prizes to the winners of the 'Glimpses of India' painting competition, which was organised on the November 16 where more than 600 students from over 35 schools participated from Suez.
A photography exhibition on India-Egypt relations, tracing the ties between the two countries over a century as well as an exhibition on Indian investments in Egypt was inaugurated by Ambassador Suri and Major General al-Sarawy during the celebrations.
When asked about the possible training opportunities and scholarships to be offered by the Indian side to the students of Suez University, the Ambassador said, "India has already established the pan-Africa e-network project, which offers tele-education and tele-medicine services.
