Kashmiri expatriate community in the country have held discussions among themselves and also attended an Open House meeting with senior Indian diplomats in the UAE for planning the future course of action.
A delegation of Kashmiri diaspora met Ambassador of India to the UAE, TP Seetharam and Consul General of India in Dubai, Anurag Bhushan to discuss how to raise funds and materials for relief work.
The embassy has already forwarded some significant contributions mainly Rs 10 million (about USD 160,000) each from prominent Indians such as MA Yousuffali and BR Shetty and another Rs 2.5 million from Shamsheer VP, the Khaleej Times reported.
