Indian golfers to compete at PGTI Players Championship

Indian golfers, including Mukesh Kumar and Shamim Khan, will vie for honours at the Rs. 30 lakh PGTI Players Championship, the 14th event of its milestone 10th season, at the Tollygunge Club starting on Wednesday.
The three day event will feature some of India's leading professionals such as Shubhankar Sharma, Khalin Joshi, Udayan Mane, Harendra Gupta and Abhijit Singh Chadha, besides Mukesh and Shamim.
The local challenge will be led by Kolkata golfers Shankar Das and Feroz Ali Mollah.
The field will also feature prominent foreign names such as Sri Lankans N Thangaraja and Anura Rohana as well as Bangladesh's Md Zamal Hossain Mollah and Australia's Kunal Bhasin.
Uttam Singh Mundy, Director, PGTI, said, "The PGTI looks forward to returning to Tollygunge Club after almost six years. Golf fans in Kolkata can expect a week of intense competition as the professionals look to consolidate their position in the Rolex Ranking with the season entering its final phase.
