Indian Hotels ropes in Dr N S Rajan as additional director

Indian Hotels has appointed Tata Sons Group Chief Human Resources Officer Dr N S Rajan as its additional director.
"Dr Rajan, Member - Group Executive Council and Group Chief HR Officer at Tata Sons has been appointed as an additional director of the company in a non-executive capacity with effect from November 27, 2015," Indian Hotels, hospitality firm of Tata Group, said in a filing to BSE.
Before joining Tata Sons, Dr Rajan was a partner and global leader, people and organisation, at E&Y.

Piramal Foundation's social service in Rajasthan
*Primary health, education and clean water are the priority areas where Piramal Foundation is benefiting large number of people in collaboration with Rajasthan government, said Chairman of the Piramal Group, Ajay Piramal.
"We are serving 2.5 million people in heath sector in Rajasthan and plan to extend the reach from present 17 districts to all the 33 districts", Piramal told reporters here.

Apollo partners US firm to train radiation therapists
*Apollo Hospitals Group today said it has signed an educational partnership with Varian Medical Systems to train radiation technologists in India.
Under the MoU, the California-based Varian Medical will hold an 'Access to Care' programme with Apollo Knowledge network that comprises several educational entities in the healthcare space in the country, Apollo said in a statement.
The partnership aims at bridging the gap between the growing need for modern radiotherapy treatment machines in developing countries and the lack of trained personnel to operate them, it said.
