Indian junior men's hockey team lost 1-3 to Great Britain in its second match of the U-23 five-nation tournament here today.

The Indians, who had earlier defeated Ireland 5-0, however, failed to match up to their British opponents.

After a barren first quarter, Great Britain took the lead through Tim Nurse in the 19th minute.

Great Britain extended its lead in the 34th minute through Duncan Scott before pumping in another in the 50th minute through Cameron Gold.

Pardeep Singh scored a consolation goal for India three minutes from the hooter.

Indian colts will take on hosts Belgium tomorrow.
