An Indian sales executive has been charged in Dubai for allegedly engaging in criminal threats, verbal abuse and online slander against his former female boss after he was fired from the job, according to a media report.
According to public prosecution records, the 30-year-old Indian man threatened the complainant, an Uzbek national, that he would destroy her life and circulate inappropriate messages of her, Khaleej Times reported.
He also allegedly posted her picture on Facebook with defamatory captions, alleging that she dismissed him after he claimed his "financial dues".
He denied at the Court of First Instance charges of making criminal threats, verbal abuse and online slander.
The businesswoman, 34, said the defendant worked for her hospitality and import firm for about eight months prior to the incident. "I had to dismiss him when he no longer showed commitment to work. He would not drop the workers at the work locations and often did not show up at work. He ignored my notice mail regarding his performance and quite often absconded from work."
