Indian mixed doubles pairings - Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Ashwini Ponnapa and Manu Attri/Maneesha K registered victories in the first round of Yonex Dutch Open badminton here today.
While the duo of Ponnapa and Rankireddy beat seventh seeded Robin Tabeling and Cheryl Seinen of the Netherlands 21 -15 20-22 21-6, the other India pair got the better of Belgium's Freek Golinski and Lise Jaques 21-18 21-23 21-14.
In the men's singles event, Subhankar Dey beat Naoki Yamazawa of Japan 21-14 21-18.
However, Karan Rajan Rajarajan lost to Kieran Merrilees 11-21 14-21, Sri Krishna Priya kudaravalli was beaten by Natalia Koch Rhode 21-12 21-10 and Rahul Yadav lost to Alexander Roovers.
