Indian Navy beat Army Red 25-21 26-24 25-22 in a keenly contested finals of the 65th Inter Services Volleyball Championship conducted at the Indoor Volleyball Court, Naval Base, here.
Rear Admiral R B Pandit, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command, the chief guest, presented the Services Volleyball Trophy for 2015-16 to the Indian Navy Team and gave away medals to the team members of the winners and runners-up.
Indian Navy, Army Red, Army Green and Indian Air Force Teams participated in the four-day championship conducted by Signal School under the aegis of the Southern Naval Command at Naval base.
The championship provides a platform for the selection of the Services team.
The selected players will represent the Services Team in the coming National Volleyball Championship and the 6th 'CISM (International Military Sports Council) World Military Games scheduled in South Korea.
