Siddharth Parikh, Himanshu Jain, Hasan Badami, Hitesh Kotwani, Prashant Mhatre, Rovin D'Souza, Ishpreet Singh Chadha and Mahesh Jagdale are some of the players from Mumbai who would be seen in action in the five-day qualifiers.
The outstation challenge would come from Vipin Premi and Akshay Kumar (both UP); Md Shoaib Khan, Shabaaz Khan and Manish Jain (all from WB); Dhavaj Haria (Gujarat), Nitesh Madaan, Chetan Chhabra and Suyash Moorpana (all Delhi) and S Magesh (TN).
Top-8 national ranked players are Pankaj Advani, Kamal Chawla, Brijesh Damani, Dharmendra Lilly, Faisal Khan, Sundeep Gulati, Laxman Rawat and Shivam Arora.
The 24 players would contest for the six Indian wild cards at the 300,000 pound sterling Indian Open, a world ranking snooker event, also to be held here October 13 to 17 in which the top 64 players of the WPBSA are scheduled to take part.
