Medium pacers Jhulan Goswami (2/15) and leg-spinner Poonam Yadav (2/9) rattled the Bangladesh top and middle order as the home side could only muster 65 for nine from their 20 overs after electing to bat at the newly built Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium.
Shikha Pandey also chipped in with one scalp, but Bangladesh were not helped by their poor running, as run-outs accounted for four dismissals. Three batters went for ducks, while only four players managed to reach double digits.
Pandey (16) and Madhuri Mehta (23) put up 45 for the first wicket. The pair fell in quick succession, but Goswami (18 not out) and Harmanpreet Kaur (2 not out) took the visiting side home as they reached 66 for two with 45 balls to spare.
India had won the first T20 International by 16 runs on March 9 at the same venue while the third and final T20 International of the series will be played on Thursday.
