The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of state Cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Briefing about the meeting, Principal Secretary Cabinet Coordination Committee Brajesh Mehrotra said that tenders would be floated for sale of indigenous liquor in PET bottles.
Those having three years of experience and an annual turnover of Rs 5 crore and above would be given preference.
Mehrotra said as per new policy for manufacture and sale of indigenous liquor, the manufacturer should have at least 30 per cent share holding in bottle plant.
