Indo-Russian jazz, rock bands to perform at Goa music fest

Goa will host several leading jazz and rock bands from across the country and Russia at "The Great Live Music Festival Goa 2014" scheduled to be held at the tourist village of Baga near here.
The festival, said to be the confluence of Indian and Russian cultures, will be held on January 31 and February 1, organisers said today.
"The line-up features 'Brainstorm' (Latvia-Russia), the Matrixx (Russia), 'Indian Ocean' (the pioneers of the fusion rock genre in India), 'Parikrama' (the legendary Indian rock band), 'Junkyard Groove' (India), 'Dolphin' (Russia), 'Shiva' (Young band from Russia), 'Heretic' (India)," said Ksenia Goryayeva, the spokesperson of the event.
"This is unique international music festival that merges two great cultures (by) bringing together world class top Jazz and Rock musicians from Russia and India," she added.
