Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial prices continued to decline in an otherwise dull oils and oilseeds market here today due to lack of demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseeds oil also maintained its downtrend on stockist selling amidst subduded demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, groundnutoil and refined palmolein prices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the futures market, castorseeds fell further owing to speculative selling pressure amid poor export enquiries.
In the non-edible section, Castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,550 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,565 and castoroil commercial also went down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 740 from Rs 743. Linseed oil looked down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 800 as against to Rs 805 previously.
Turning to futures, castorseeds June contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,838, later drifted lower to Rs 3,800 before settling at Rs 3,817 showing a loss of Rs 20 per tonne.
Moving to edible section, Groundnut oil and refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 1,200 and Rs 512 per 10 kg, respectively.
