Industrial oils recover in mute trade

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial prices recovered in an otherwise mute oils and oilseeds market here today on renewed demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, Groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseed oil prices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the futures market, castorseeds rebounded on speculative buying on the back of higher export enquiries.
In the non-edible section, Castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 5 per 100 kg to Rs 3,575 from Friday's closing level of Rs 3,550 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 745 from Rs 740. Linseed oil closing unchanged at Rs 795 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures, castorseeds June contract resumed higher at Rs 3,830 and moved up further to Rs 3,870 before closing at Rs 3,859 from Rs 3,817 previously, showing a smart gain of Rs 42 per tonne.
Moving to edible section, groundnutoil and refined palmolein prices closed unaltered at Rs 1,210 per 10 kg and Rs 512 per 10 kg, respectively.
