Industrial oils recover on thin trade

Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices recovered smartly in an otherwise sluggish oils and oilseeds wholesale market at Vashi here today due to renewed demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseed oil all held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the futures market, castorseeds rebounded modestly on good speculative demand amid renewed export enquiries.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 50 per 100kg to Rs 3,425 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,375, castoroil commercial went up by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 715 as against Rs 705 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 750 per 10kg.

Turning to futures, castorseed June contract opened slightly lower at Rs 3,460, but later moved up to Rs 3,488, before endng at Rs 3,484 from Rs 3,468 yesterday, showing a net gain of Rs 16 per tonne.
Moving in edible section, groundnut oil and refined palmolein closed unaltered at Rs 1,130 per 10 kg and Rs 500 per 10kg respectively.
