Police said the victims, who included the driver and the parents of the infant were travelling by a maxi taxi when it collided head on against a loaded truck.
The taxi was on way to Dhupguri and the truck was moving in the opposite direction to Alipurduar, the police said.
The injured were rushed to the district hospital and the critically injured were referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital at Siliguri, the police added.
