Infighting biggest ill plaguing party, unity is need of the
Press Trust of India New Delhi In the backdrop of tussle between the old guard and the generation next, Congress today said unity is the need of the hour as the "biggest ill" plaguing the party organisation is infighting.
"Congressmen need to rise above personal ambitions to once again restore the party to its original and deserved glory. We need to introspect. Unity is the need of the hour," according to the latest editorial of party mouthpiece 'Congress Sandesh'.
It prefaced by saying "amongst the biggest ills plaguing the Congress today is infighting".
The editorial said the poll debacle in Delhi has led to many questions. Among others, it is the "continuous failure" of the party to communicate its achievements to the common man. "False propaganda has overshadowed its myriad achievements," it said.
On the Congress's demand for removal of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the editorial said BJP has "chosen to hide behind a legalistic point of view" in the matter of the Chief Minister, who is accused of playing with the lives and future of students aspiring for admission in professional courses.
