Infosec Foundation to host Cyber Security conference in city

Infosec Foundation, a non-profit making platform dedicated to cyber security, will hold a conference on cyber security in the country on November 3 here and will be participated by experts, policy makers and stakeholders, organisers said.
'Infosec Global 2017' would feature interaction with a host of eminent personalities such as Sanjay Bahl, the director general of Computer Emergency Response Team-India, West Bengal IT minister Bratya Basu, West Bengal IT secretary Debashis Sen, Kolkata Police commissioner Rajeev Kumar and Col Inderjeet Singh, former director of military intelligence.
Among those who will be attending the summit, majority will be the CIOs from corporate offices, banks and financial institutions, besides cyber security experts, cyber law experts, policy makers and start-ups, they said.
Infosec Foundation is in talks with Kolkata Police to launch Indias first cyber security helpline number to assist and provide safety to the citizens in the best possible way.
The foundation is also working on developing a matrix on user awareness and susceptibility of users in internet and measure impact through their campaigns with various stakeholders in various areas of operation.
Stressing the need for a secured reliable internet surfing as an immediate requirement, Infosec Foundation chairman Sushobhan Mukherjee said social media accounts for around 95 per cent of identity thefts in the virtual world.
