Inquiry ordered after irregularities found in building plans

Haryana government today directed state Vigilance Bureau to enquire into the alleged irregularities involved in the sanction of commercial building plans of Municipal Council, Rewari from 2012 to 2014 which caused revenue loss of over Rs one crore to the state exchequer.
Sub Division Officer (Civil), Bawal had found many irregularities in the sanction of eight commercial building plans by the municipal council besides revenue loss to the state, an official spokesperson said, adding, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has ordered an inquiry in this connection.
He said Urban Local Bodies department had received many complaints that applicants of commercial building plans have concealed facts and registered forged deeds in connivance with the officers and employees of municipal council and along with Deputy Registrar
Also, they have not taken a permit for change of land use from the government, he said.
