Insurance regulator Irdai has empanelled seven creative agencies for production of TV spots, radio jingles and organising exhibitions with an aim to increase insurance penetration in the country.
The empanelled agencies would be carrying out publicity campaigns at the national level.
The agencies are: Astral Advertising & Marketing India, Pamm Advertising & Marketing, Gold Mine Advertising, Ventures Advertising, Associated Advertising, Aimvyapthi Advertising and RK Swamy BBDO.
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai) said the seven agencies have "fulfilled the eligibility criteria, technical requirements and accordingly they have been empanelled".
In the tender document floated in June for selection of creative agencies, the regulator had said it may spend about Rs 40 crore annually on advertising programmes for promoting insurance awareness among public, issuing notices, issuing quarterly journal, and calendar, among other activities.
The empanelled agencies will be required to give inputs in terms of creatives, editorials, visuals, to create the campaign for various print and electronic media including TV, print, radio, outdoor, internet, conferences, exhibitions, stalls.
They would also be expected to facilitate printing and production of publicity material (like diaries and calendars) and provide assistance for better coordination between Irdai and media for publicity.
