"The insurgents of the state who made their bases in Bangladesh had made strikes before all assembly elections since 1988. Our security forces are ready to face any eventuality," Sarkar told reporters here.
A senior insurgent who was arrested a few months ago had confessed that the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) were recruiting tribal youths forcibly into their outfit, trying to extort money and procure arms, said Sarkar, who holds the home portfolio.
